PRONUSLAB TEAM
Project Manager
Biologist, pharmaceutical microbiologist and biomedical analytics student, building on laboratory and study experience in Türkiye and Austria.
MY JOURNEY
I began with a biology degree at Mersin University, where internships in microbiology and anatomy sparked my interest in laboratory research. I then completed a master’s in pharmaceutical microbiology and continued my studies in molecular biology at the University of Vienna.
In 2026 I began studying biomedical analytics at FH Gesundheitsberufe OÖ in Steyr, focusing my career on clinical laboratories and diagnostics. Studying in different fields and countries has shown me that a career path need not be linear: earlier experiences can become a foundation for a new direction.
HOW I CAN HELP
I share my experience with students exploring microbiology and laboratory careers, studying in Austria, and moving into biomedical analytics and clinical laboratory work.
A CHALLENGE AND WHAT I LEARNED
A major challenge was reshaping my education in another country and language. Returning to study after completing two degrees taught me that changing direction does not mean losing past experience: biology, microbiology and molecular biology remain a foundation for my current studies.
WHAT I WISH I HAD KNOWN
Research the career as well as the course; seek hands-on laboratory experience early; develop the language needed to study and work abroad; and apply for opportunities without waiting to feel perfectly ready.
MY ROLE AT PRONUSLAB
As a project manager, I support planning and team coordination and help develop PronusLab as a sustainable platform for students and young professionals.
