RESEARCH

Research

His doctoral research examined past climate and environmental changes across the Cretaceous–Paleogene boundary in Central Anatolia, combining biostratigraphy, stable isotope geochemistry, and mineralogical evidence.

His work also explored orbital-scale climate cycles and evidence of volcanism and the Chicxulub impact around the mass extinction.

His methods include stable isotopes, Rock-Eval, XRF, XRD and scanning electron microscopy. He also works on computer vision for microfossil classification and machine learning for subsurface interpretation.

He speaks English, French and Turkish fluently.
